totally agree with all of you..im 38 and still suffer from relationship issues like you stated..its hard.. when i started dating again after i left guilt followed me..then when i met my girlfriend of one year she couldnt take it that i had a hard time with christmas and her familys presbeterian faith...i tried but since i was raised in the org and not the truth my mind has been infected and still healing...being single may be my only alternative..i doubt any woman will have the patients to deal with the brainwashing i suffered....

Is JW all doom and gloom?
by uninitiated ini am in a relationship with a man who is jw.
the things he tells me leads me to believe that their beliefs espouse doing nothing to better the world as it is hopeless, and all is coming to an end anyway.
this seems like a cowardly way to face the hardships in this world.

spirtual growth at greatist peak
by the mole inmy sister called me last night and wanted me to go to an assembly with her in san francisco..she has a part on stage...i declined but she stated that her assembly mentioned the jw growth is at its greatist peak and still climbing....i asked if she really believes that and she mentioned all the new congregations in sacramento and auburn area and said the baptisim was so full they had to extend the lunch period.....is there any info to prove her wrong?..i have not gone this year..did any body attend and get this same info?

How long did it take you to get rid of your jw magazines?
by kls ini have seen post on the forum of persons wondering what to do with their jw magazines now that they feel they are no longer needed.
how long did it take you to feel secure enough to get rid of them and why do some feel the insecurity to keep them, even knowing they have no intention of ever going back ?

i stopped attending two years ago except for an assembly or two recently but i just threw out 5 boxes of books and mags just recently...in april i believe...all in trash except for the yearbooks i donated to salvation army

order special literature, and order a weekly quota of 50 mags and them leave no contribution.. if everyone does this, they will loose so much money, they will not last more than 5 years!

as a former m.s there was times when i had to suggest to active members to reduce the mags...it was based on their time in service reported each month and the km advised to reduce cost...this was three years ago when the km came out just before winter...the same km that advised to bring bag lunches intstead of going out to eat and supporting surrounding food business during an assembly

by the mole inmy family had a gettogether this weekend and my and my father were not invited...my dad was so upset..i advised my dad to let it go...my sister was invited but she is another clone...my dad has finally seen the errors but the fellowship with his own kin struck deep into his soul...he is 64 now and wants to be close to his own brothers and sisters and i didnt know how to really counsel dad or talk to him..we went out to dinner but over and over he spoke his frustration of not being invited.....any suggestion for any of you current break aways to help my dad?

Reinstatement, how to go about it.

as most her know i was df'ed 2 months ago.. i've always intended on being reonstated, not because i believe the crap, but because it just makes thinks easier all round for my kids, 2 and 6, and the family.. does anybody know how i go about this and how long it can take.. don't worry i have full intentions of letting my kids know everything about the borg.. your help would be greatly appreciated.. .

hi...i totally understand your position...i have written many times on my family here and the struggles i had being pressured to return..its going on two years now since i have been regular..my kids were a factor for these thoughts but im lucky because they are much older and are able to comprehend my decision..four generations sucked into one of the greatest lies in the last century for religions go..when i decided to leave it was so hard..i just made m.s. then to leave shocked my family and friends...it will get better and true friends you will find.. i promise....this is how they keep people in check to keep the afraid of the loss and feelings of betrayal to make you stay and comform....this is why so many call it a cult..same tactics same old game...good luck

just to add another thought of jesus a myth...there is evidence he existed but a said from the notes above he was real but surround by myth...this is more or less true...60 years later paul wrote the teachings and miracle of christ then suddenly many books rose from other schools of thought from supposedly from his other followers..the writings of thomas was taken out during the period when the church wanted to unite europe..much of bible was assembled after the Constitine period during the beginings of the holy roman empire..the punishment of the gnostics and other unknown books from diffrent sects had been burned..much of the bible we have today is modern and twisted from the original text..the dead sea scrolls proves the fact that many modern interpretations of the bible have changed..take for example the jw's New World translation is incorrect on many of its wording to build around the orgs own thoughts of god and christ..
